I'm so far behind in my blogging, that I'm really not sure where to even start! Ha! So, I'll start with the last couple of weeks and maybe, just maybe, work my way back to what I didn't post. ;) There has been a ton going on with the kids and school, mostly Carter to this point. He ran in his first "mini-marathon" last week, and placed 2nd!! Wahoo!! I was one proud momma. The 1st graders have to run one lap around the high school track. The kids and Mat and I went over and cheered him on. He also had a little program at school that they showed off a few of the things they learned this year. It was really nicely done and fun to watch! A few days later he showed off his dance skills with several other boys from the Dance Club. It was a cute hip hop dance. He had been going to school early every Thursday for the past 3 months to learn the dances. He really enjoyed it, but I'm not sure if he will do it again next year. I really think part of the reason he did it was to show Berklie that he could dance too. I think he realized that it's harder than he thought to memorize the dances. :)
Can you find Carter?
So proud of my boy!
Carter, Austin (his friend and 1st place winner) and Ashlee (1st place in the girls)
Today we just got back from Berklie's preschool graduation program. Short and simple and cute. The way it should be at a preschool program! We have loved Miss Lindsay! Berklie has learned so much this year and made some really good friends. She is ready for Kindergarten! I'm not, but she is.
We have also been spending our Saturdays, well ok, just an hour of them, watching Carter play soccer. He hasn't played in quite a while, but has really caught on. It's been fun to go watch him. They have a ref and keep score. The last time he played, they didn't keep score or anything. He has really liked playing, and now he's not sure about football. But, we'll see what he decides. I only have a couple pictures of his games, but that's better than nothing! :)
This is a short clip of Carter making a few plays during a game. Ignore the background noise. :)
