Crew Jacobson Bell

Our little boy is finally here! I feel like we waited forever for him. On January 4th at 12:26pm he was born, weighing in at 7 lbs. 10 oz. and 20 in. long! He even had a full head of dark hair!! That shocked me! He is a sweet, calm little thing that seems to love the noise and chaos of our home. He even sleeps pretty good at night, and sleeps most of the day away.
Since I had a c-section, I stayed in the hospital for 3 days. Thank goodness for Grandma and Grandpa Bell that took care of the other kids so that Mat could be with Crew and I. We came home to a sick Oaklie who wanted nothing to do with Crew or me. It broke my heart! I always feel bad for the previous youngest kid when a new baby comes home. It rocks their little world. Oaklie is only 18 months old, and she was sick and she did not like this little thing that took her place! However, she has warmed up to him now and loves to take his binki's or blankets and pet his head. She is sweet with him.
Carter and Berklie love him and love to watch him sleep. Berklie always says how cute and tiny he is.
I am so grateful that our little Crew is here and healthy and adorable as ever! I can't get enough of his cuddles, even at 3 in the morning.

Most would say that this is a picture that shouldn't be seen by anyone, but it sure made me laugh, so I had to share. This shows my doctors sense of humor...I guess mine too since I thought it was funny.

He came out screamin'!

This is my favorite picture! Ever since we told Carter that we were going to have another baby, he has been begging for a brother! This picture says it all. He adores his little brother.

His first bath. He is all relaxed and loving it because they bathed him under a warmer. I think I need one of those.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!

This year for Christmas, the kids and Mat slept in the family room because they all got new beds for Christmas. Santa was a little worried while he put out the presents on Christmas Eve, that a little one would wake up and discover him. Well, he was able to finish his work without being seen, but next year, the kids will be in their rooms for sure! We had a very Merry Christmas despite the fact that the week before all 5 of us got the flu!! Not fun at all! Coughs, fevers, and runny noses, plus a very pregnant me. Not a good mix. But, we made the most of it, and the kids got over it faster than Mat and I!

Oaklie was in heaven with all the wrapping paper and treats! She just wanted to eat the treats in her stocking, she didn't care about much else.

For months now, the kids have been asking for pillow pets from Santa. Actually, the pillow pets were purchased back at the beginning of September....of course they were delivered by Santa though. Everyone was in pillow pet heaven Christmas morning!

All that Mat wanted for Christmas was new ski goggles. They aren't just ski goggles though. They are GPS goggles, they tell the speed, elevation and....something else cool that I can't remember right now. He tried them out two days later. He's a big kid. I love it.

Berklie and Oaklie will be sharing a room in a few months. As soon as I get brave and take Oaklie out of the crib. I will put it off as long as I can! But, now Berklie's room has two beds, so it's ready when I am. :) Berklie wasn't too sure about it at first, and still won't let Oaklie in "her" room. I keep trying to tell her that this is life! Girls get to share a room! I always wanted a sister to share a room with. I probably would have hated it though. I won't tell Berklie that. There will be some challenges, but all in all, it will be just fine. (I'm trying to convince myself here.)

Carter got a new bed as well! We didn't want to leave him out. He has wanted a bunk bed forever, so he was very excited when he saw it. Mat and I were making the beds and putting his clothes in the dresser on Christmas Eve, and he peeked around the corner. He saw it for a second before Mat ran him back downstairs. How can you get mad though when he says, "dad, I saw my new bed and I really like it, thanks." He loves his bed and actually has taken a nap in it twice! For Carter that is a miracle.

We had a very Merry Christmas and are looking forward to the New Year ahead of us! Baby Bell #4 will be making his appearance January 4th. Carter is looking forward to it, as well as Mat and I. The girls aren't too sure about it though. Stay tuned for pictures!

December Fun!

Carter woke up one morning a few weeks ago and said that he wanted to play in the snow. Then, he thought about it a little bit and decided that playing in the snow needed to be going in the hot tub. It was funny watching them freeze their fannies off as they went out to get in the hot water. But, they stayed out there for a while and had a great time! I dared them all to run in the snow and jump on the trampoline.......

Only Mat made it as far as the tramp. Carter and Berks said it was too cold! Chickens!!

Of course they did do some "real" playing in the snow too! Oaks loved it and cried when I took her inside.

We went to see Santa and tell him what we want for Christmas. This Santa didn't have a lot of room on his lap.
