Back to School Dinner

This year I decided to start a new tradition. A Back to School Dinner. This year I made each kid a crown, then we made our own pizza's and the kids got to choose their toppings. While they made their pizza's we talked about making good choices and making bad choices. I also decided that I want to have a theme each school year, just a little extra motivation and focus. This year the theme is find JOY in learning. Maybe it will be the theme for two years since I think Carter and Berklie are a little young to get all that that entails.

Carter started first grade, and absolutley loves being in school ALL day. MIss Karma is his teacher and he said that her class is more fun than Disney Land! He insists that he has to go by himself to school everyday there and back. It's not far, but I get nervous! We compromised and he rides his scooter with the neighbors. He loves eating lunch at school and once or twice a week he can buy a hot lunch. You'd think he'd never eaten before the way he talks about the food there. He told me that you don't even have to pay for it, you just have to give them your lunch number! HAHA!

Berklie is in Preschool. She actually really likes it this year, which is a change from last year. Last year she loved it once she was there, but it was often times a fight to get her there. Miss Lindsay is her teacher, and she goes three times a week. She's pretty sure that she is all grown up now.

So, three times a week, I have just Crew and Oaklie at home for a couple of hours. It's pretty nice to have that time to play with Oaklie, or go to the store with just 2 kids!
